The Sea to Sky School District is confirming a potential exposure of COVID-19 at Don Ross Middle School.

Spokesperson Jennifer Morris said parents were sent a letter on Nov. 25 informing them that a person who tested positive for COVID-19 attended school on Nov. 19.

That person is now at home and is being supported by Vancouver Coastal Health.

Potential exposures occur when a person is infected with COVID-19 outside the school. When they attend classes, there’s a chance the virus may spread.

VCH publishes a list of school exposures, but the Don Ross exposure hasn't been published as of Nov. 26.

Previously, the authority listed past exposures for Howe Sound Secondary and Garibaldi Highlands Elementary. Those cases occurred between Nov. 16 and 17.

**Please note, this story has been modified to clarify that a person did test positive for COVID prior to attending the school.
