Yes, it is snowing in downtown Squamish, but it is soon going to be blowing too.
Environment Canada issued a wind warning Thursday morning.
Wind warnings are issued when there is a possibility of strong winds causing damage.
“An arctic front on the British Columbia coast is generating strong outflow winds of 70 km/h gusting to 90 through Howe Sound near Bowen Island. The outflow winds are expected to persist until Friday morning,” said Environment Canada.
“Gusty winds can damage soft shelters, tents and awnings at outdoor events. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.”
Temperatures are expected to hover around 4° during the day until Monday and down to -6 at night.
Brrrrr.
