Unwelcome sign

Mexican visitors to one of our tourist attractions had the back window of their vehicle broken, a high-end purse, money, sunglasses, and ID stolen.

If anyone has any information about this theft please contact Cst. Cameron and quote file number 2019-901.

Truckstop?

A witness told police that a damaged stop sign and lamppost on Hunter Place and Cleveland Avenue may have been hit by an 18-wheel semi-truck and trailer. This has not been determined. Police contacted the District of Squamish and the lamppost was removed for safety reasons.

Another sign?

The sign from a barbershop on Tantalus Road was discovered missing, on Sunday, Feb. 17.  The 6-foot sign was found the following day on a rooftop.  It is unknown if the sign was blown onto the roof by the wind or if someone placed it there on purpose.
