Squamish RCMP are looking for what they are calling a dangerous dog that was taken from the local pound.
Officers say the canine was taken during a break-and-enter into the facility on Government Road during the early morning hours of Oct. 9.
“The dog, named Max, had been declared a dangerous dog by Squamish bylaw due to aggressive behaviour towards people and there is a concern the dog may hurt someone again,” reads an RCMP news release.
“Police are looking for information as to who is responsible for breaking into the facility and taking Max, as well as the location of the animal.”
Max is described as a male German Shepard cross. He is black and tan in colour.
Anyone with any information regarding the break and enter or the location of Max, are asked to contact the Squamish RCMP at 604-892-6100, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or go to website www.solvecrime.ca.
