Mag's 99 Fried Chicken and Mexican Cantina is flying the coop and going mobile. Owner Melody Magaton told The Chief that Mag's 99 is opening a food truck within the next week after closing the Highway 99 location.
June 7, Mag's announced that its Squamish food truck will be opening June 12 at the corner of Discovery Way and Industrial Way.
"You have been coming to Mag's 99, now Mag's 99 is coming to you," reads the company's Facebook page post.
"Mag's is planning bigger and very exciting adventures! We are launching a chain of food trucks as well as permanent locations."
Trucks are eventually launching in Tofino and Ucluelet, Surrey, Nanaimo, Kelowna, Kamloops, and Prince George.
Its brick-and-mortar location will open in Squamish this summer, with others to follow in Victoria and Surrey in the fall.
While the restaurant's new Squamish location has not been disclosed, it will be on Commercial Way, in the business park, Magaton said.
