Squamish was the hottest place in the country yesterday.***

Local meteorologist Jason Ross said on Twitter that the town was the Canadian hot spot at 20.6 C.

The last few days in town have been marked by warm weather, and that trend is predicted to continue, at least for the next few days, according to Environment Canada.

Save for a chance of showers on Thursday, the sunshine is expected to carry through until Tuesday next week.

Temperatures will average in the low 20s, ranging from 18 to 24.

***CORRECTION: Local meteorologist Jason Ross has just informed us that due to a computer malfunction with the Environment Canada database, Squamish was erroneously ranked as the hottest place in Canada on April 30.
