A woman's death at a home in Squamish is being investigated by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
On April 1 at 11:40 p.m., Squamish RCMP was called to a home in the 40000-block of Government Road to check on a resident.
When they arrived, they discovered a dead woman.
"Due to the suspicious nature of the death, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was contacted and has assumed conduct of the investigation," a Squamish RCMP release states.
There is no risk to the public, according to investigators.
Officers will be at the scene and in the neighbourhood for several more days as they continue to gather evidence.
