Durham regional police say a 62-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man were found dead in a residence in Whitby, Ont., this morning.
Police say they responded to a sudden death call shortly before 11 a.m. and found the two individuals dead at the scene.
Two other people were transported to a local hospital.
They say fire services conducted tests for environmental hazards and the area was deemed safe.
Police did not provide any information on the cause of death, but said a post-mortem exam was conducted on both individuals.
They say the investigation is ongoing and investigators believe there is no threat to public safety.
