7th Ave. proposal terrifying

So, council wants to butt right into the estuary, eh? ["Say no to 7th Ave." The Chief, letters, June 19.

So, council wants to butt right into the estuary, eh? ["Say no to 7th Ave." The Chief, letters, June 19.]

Just as a simple human being, why can't they just stop and think? Why are they so eager to ruin our beautiful town? If they keep this up it will no longer be Outdoor Recreation Capital of Canada. It will become just average with destruction.

I am horrified that council would even consider something so disastrous. My daughter is 14 years old and on more than one occasion she has fallen asleep in my arms crying about the planet, she says not enough people care, and what's gonna happen in 50 years?

Could you imagine spending your teen years worrying about your future of the planet? She cries! So here this new generation is terrified of the future of our beautiful planet earth, and here are the rest of us just not caring.

She is right, not enough people care. And why not? We all know better. Some say the little bit you do doesn't count, why would you think that? If you were trying to form a circle by holding hands and someone didn't do their little bit you wouldn't have a circle right? So come on people. Just even do a little bit it makes up a lot.

And town council I would like to say to you directly, money isn't everything and you are not making Squamish proud with your eyes-and-ears-shut decision-making. Let nature be please, we kinda need it.
