EDITOR,
May I, through the medium of your paper, express my thanks to all those dear people who organized my “Roast” on Saturday, April 19, at the Squamish Golf Club and to all the participants who were there to “roast” me. I was “well done” and hope you found me “tender”!
My real reason for coming back into the limelight of the arts in Squamish is to honour those of you who worked so hard over the years that the Howe Sound Drama Club/Players were in existence. You dedicated yourselves to whatever role you played, be it on or back stage, and I appreciated your devotion and enthusiasm. Without you we would never have had a Drama Club nor all the fun that went with it and the legacy you have left.
The money you raised that evening will go towards furthering the Drama Historical Project.
So my “roast” was for all of you too. The organizers were incredible and I thank you all!
