TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN,

If that was you on Friday evening, May 27, riding your bike with the girl on roller blades in downtown Squamish, What the hell were you thinking when you thought you would ride your bike over the tracks at Loggers Lane, when the train I was driving was crossing over Cleveland Avenue with the horn and bells going off?? Did you think it would be cool to do a U-turn on the tracks in front of the train with the train less then 75 feet from you?? When you got your wheel stuck between the track and the road, almost causing you to fall on the tracks, my heart almost stopped, and only by the fate of luck are you still alive. If this is your son, go give him a hug because he came so close to being killed in a most gruesome manner, and why? That's what I would like to know. It only takes a second of carelessness to have lifelong repercussions. Imagine the police having to tell your family that you were run over by a train and the pain they would have to deal with for the rest of their lives, not to mention the crew on the train having to deal with such a tragedy. So in closing, please think about what you are doing!A concerned CN Engineer
