I have to say I have never been more interested and excited about municipal politics until this election and the life Auli, running for mayor, has injected into this small community's election. Instead of having to settle for "more of the same" with no other alternatives, Auli has stepped up to the challenge and at the same time welcoming the community to speak out and be listened to. Last election we had no choice for leadership and now we have a chance to utilize the proven ability of this amazing woman to change our town and market it as "open for business." From the newest voters to our most experienced ones, Auli has reached, touched and listened to them. There is no "baby kissing" appearances and empty promises here; this woman means business. Her entrepreneurial background and innovative approach from her signage to her platform make a welcome change, and shows that if someone cares enough, things can happen. Squamish is lucky to have such a committed, creative and focused citizen so let's enable her to make changes by electing her to mayor on Saturday!
