Between Shifts Theatre is back on stage again and this time at the Brackendale Art Gallery when four all-Canadian one-act plays will be performed starting tonight (Thursday, June 20), Friday and Saturday (June 21 and 22) and next week Thursday on Saturday (June 27 to 29) at 8 p.m. Local playwrights Ileah Bakes, Karen McLeod, Trot Dawson and Craig Morgan are sure you will enjoy their plays. Tickets are $20 adults and $15 for seniors and students, and are available at Billie's Bouquet and at the BAG.

An event that is looked forward to each year, the Squamish Garden Tour, takes place Sunday (June 23) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For your $15 ticket, you will have an opportunity to visit 10 gardens on your self-directed tour. Tickets are available at the Adventure Centre, Anna's Attic, Garibaldi Nurseries, On The Farm and at the Squamish Public Library. The tour included art and music in the gardens and a Master Gardener Clinic.

St. John's Anglican Church will welcome former minister Rev. Mike Stuchbery, his wife Tracy and children Ben, Jonathan and Emily to the service on Sunday (June 23) at 10 a.m. Rev. Stuchbery will lead the service as part of St. John's centennial year celebrations. A potluck luncheon will follow the service.

The Squamish Easter Seals Camp is a busy place during the summer with many young people enjoying a camp experience. Is there anyone who has a ping-pong table in good condition willing to donate it to the camp or for a small fee? Camp director Jim Saunders would love to hear from you at (604) 898-4298.

The Tips, Tricks and Tools Arthritis workshop will be held in the Seniors Centre on Saturday (June 22) from 3 to 5 p.m. It is hosted by Arthritis B.C. and registration is required by dropping by the centre, calling (604) 848-6898 or email at squamishlive.ca.

Better at Home is a program designed to help seniors live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities. Plan to attend an information session hosted by the United Way Community Developer at the Seniors Centre on Friday (June 28) from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Please register at the centre or call (604) 848-6898 or for more information go to www.betterathome.ca.

The WOW Riders meet at Canadian Tire at 10 a.m. on Monday (June 24) for a golf course trail ride. For more information, call Shirley at (604) 898-5715.

The Over the Hill Hikers meet at the corner of Ross and Government roads on Tuesday (June 25) at 9 a.m. for a Whistler-Parkhurst hike. For more information, call Heather at (604) 892-9003.

The Tantalus Walking Club meets at the Howe Sound Brew Pub on Thursday (June 27) at 10 a.m. for a walk around Nexen Beach. For more information, call Joyce at (604) 898-5594.

The Howe Sound Women's Centre (HSWC) has its annual general meeting on Wednesday (June 26) at 6 p.m. at the Squamish Adventure Centre. The June luncheon at the Seniors Centre on Thursday (June 27) at 11:45 a.m. will be a summer barbecue theme including hamburgers, summer salads and dessert. Please purchase tickets ($9 members, $10 non-members) by Wednesday (June 26). Librarian Nancy Warwick from the Squamish Library will have a selection if books on display. Anyone interested in playing tennis is asked to be at the centre at 10 a.m. on Mondays throughout the summer.

The annual Strawberry Social at Hilltop House and sponsored by the Hilltop House Support Society will be held on Saturday (June 29) from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Enjoy delicious strawberry shortcake and coffee/tea for only $4. Donations of home baking for the bake table would be much appreciated. As well, there will be an in-house raffle and 50/50 draws. Your support is appreciated as all proceeds go towards programs and supplies for the benefit of the residents.

The 2013 Summer Reading Club is always much appreciated and loved by students over the summer holidays at the Squamish Public Library. Program registration begins on Thursday (June 27).

As part of the Legion Week Celebrations, the community is invited to a free barbecue at the Squamish Legion Branch #277 on Saturday (June 29) from 3 to 6:30 p.m.
