A community Family Pancake Breakfast awaits you at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #227 on Sunday (Aug. 21) from 8 to 11 a.m. The price is right at $5 for a regular plate and $7 for the hungry man's breakfast and it includes pancakes, eggs, ham, sausage and coffee or juice.

The last in the Lunch and Learn Series held at the Squamish Renaissance Residence at 38225 Third Avenue will be held on Wednesday (Aug. 24), with lunch served from noon to 1 p.m. Following the luncheon, the presentation on The History of the Railway in Squamish will be given by Trevor Mills. Those facing difficult caregiving situations also need support and the Caregiver Support Group is here for you. The first-ever Sea to Sky Community Potluck Picnic will be held at Alice Lake on Thursday (Aug. 25) from 5 to 8 p.m. It is a joint venture by Sea to Sky Community Services and Big Brothers and Sisters. The next Interpretive Nature Walk will be held on Friday (Aug. 26) and the walk will be along the Woodpecker Trail. Meet at the Fisherman's Entrance off the Spit Dyke at 9:30 a.m. Register at the Seniors Centre by calling (604) 848-6896. The cost is $4 for members and $5 for non-members.

On Thursday (Aug. 25) a Soup and Sandwich Social will be held at the Seniors Centre at noon and will include three sandwich choices and two soup choices. The cost is $9 for members and $10.50 for non-members.

Anyone interested in participating in the Lawn Bowling Tournament at the Seniors Centre on Thursday (Sept. 1) is asked to register by Monday (Aug. 22). The last Grandparents Days at the centre will be held on Thursday (Aug. 25) from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $5 and grandkids can enjoy Wii games, crafts, lawn or carpet bowling and more.
