With summer fast approaching, we all start thinking about getting in shape. Squamish has many gyms and fitness options to choose from, including CrossFit. CrossFit Squamish, a fitness and manual therapy clinic, has expanded and moved to 38930 Midway in the Business Park. The new CrossFit Squamish location is one of the largest CrossFit facilities in the country and one of more than 6,000 individually owned and operated CrossFit affiliates worldwide. The new 6,000-square-foot facility offers 4,800 square feet of training floor along with 1,100 square feet for massage therapy and physiotherapy. After three years in business, Squamish CrossFit is proud to have developed a strong, supportive local community that offers gym members general fitness training, sport-specific additional programming for power lifting and endurance athletes, nutritional support, competition preparation training and an inclusive social community for other activities outside of gym training. Over the past 18 months, a skilled team of coaches and health care practitioners has been built, and the gym now offers up to 10 classes per day.

CrossFit Squamish's owners, Heather Bell and Jesse Bifano, have announced that they will be hosting a brand new event called Stones and Strength on Saturday, June 15, at the Loggers Sports Grounds in conjunction with the Test of Metal weekend.
