Dog poop. Oh please!
The difference between ignorant and stupid is that ignorant can be cured. So let me help here.
1) If your dog poops in an inconvenient place (neighbourhood lawn, sidewalk or driveway) then bag it, knot it and put it in the nearest garbage can. The neighbour won’t mind the extra garbage. Good on you if you already do this.
2) In the woods, if you are not inclined to bag it and carry it with you in hand to the next available garbage can, then don’t bag it! Take a stick or your boot and punt it into the underbrush, well off the path and out of sight. Nature will take care of it. Let’s face it, all the best intentions in the world are not going to prevent you from forgetting to pick it up on the way back, so don’t bag it and put it down.
3) And only the most dense could possibly think the right thing is to bag it and then fling it into the trees.
There, if you had this problem, you are cured.
