Sleeping Beauty Kids is a favourite musical and will be performed by the students of Broadway or Bust at the Eagle Eye Theatre tomorrow and Saturday (Aug. 23 and 24) at 7 p.m. each evening. Twenty-four students ranging from six to 12 have been in rehearsals these past three weeks and they are ready to share their talents. Tickets at $7 for students and children, and $15 for adults can be purchased at the Squamish Academy of Music on Second Avenue and at the Squamish Adventure Centre.
The theme luncheon at the seniors centre on Thursday (Aug. 29) at 11:45 a.m. will feature grilled salmon, rice medley, vegetables and broken glass cake. Please purchase tickets ($9 members, $10 non-members) by Wednesday (Aug. 28). Nancy Warwick from the Squamish Public Library will have a display of interesting books that may be of interest to seniors.
Do plan to attend the afternoon tea and music from the Melodious Mandolins from Vancouver on Saturday (Aug. 24) at 2:30 p.m. at the Shannon Falls Retirement Residence on Third Avenue. This is a free event for the community. On Friday (Aug. 30) a hot dog sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the $2 fee includes a juice box and chips.

The Squamish Seniors Society's annual fall barbecue will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the centre. Tickets are now on sale at $10 per person. Exercise classes for all levels will start the week of Sept. 3 and registrations are now being taken at the centre.
