Fall Fair thanks

To the Fall Fair volunteers and attendees, The Brackendale Farmer's Institute wishes to convey a sincere thank you to all the fantastic volunteers at the 17th annual Brackendale Fall Fair.

To the Fall Fair volunteers and attendees,

The Brackendale Farmer's Institute wishes to convey a sincere thank you to all the fantastic volunteers at the 17th annual Brackendale Fall Fair. They are truly a remarkable group of active, involved and passionate community citizens. In particular, we want to acknowledge the leadership and organization of Tracy Seille and Maddy Robertson. Without them and the many other volunteers, the Fall Fair would not be the well-run, magical event that it is.

The Fall Fair grounds at the Brackendale Farmer's Institute Walking Park has been a community gathering place for the Brackendale neighbourhood since 1957 when the provincial government dedicated the park for the pioneers and farmers of the Village of Brackendale at that time. The historical significance of the park also includes a remaining part of the famous Lillooet/Pemberton Cattle Trail that brought herds from the interior Cariboo and Chilcotin plains to the railway workers and larger populations in the Lower Mainland beginning in the 1870s.

The Fall Fair, the countless volunteers who make it run so smoothly and the people who come to enjoy the charm of an old-fashioned community get together are the heart and soul of this event and the catalyst that will help continue this much-loved fair into the future. And with the continued support of these fabulous citizens and the political will of the District of Squamish and the Squamish Nation, the Farmer's Institute Park and the Fall Fair will remain in perpetuity.
