The annual St. John's Anglican Church Christmas Bazaar is this Saturday (Nov. 16) from 10 a.m. to noon at 1930 Diamond Rd. Tables laden with an assortment of delicious baked goods, sewing and knitted items and special treasures including jewelry await your arrival and perusal. Take a moment for an angel card reading and see what's in your future. Homemade scones, muffins and coffee or tea will also be available.
The Friends of the Library book sale is being held this weekend on Saturday (Nov. 16) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday (Nov. 17) from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Squamish Public Library. Join the Squamish Historical Society (SHS) tonight (Thursday, Nov. 14) at 7 p.m. at the Brackendale Art Gallery as Meg Fellowes presents the Talking Turtle Trail. The Squamish Trails Society is interested in developing the physical trail. Fellowes's intention is that the trail loop becomes an opportunity for the community to share stories. She was impressed by the SHS's Squamish Culture and Heritage weekend at Quest University Canada last November, and recognizes that as more newcomers arrive in Squamish, it becomes more important to find new and innovative ways to share our stories.

The Squamish Food Bank will open its doors for grocery distribution on Wednesday (Nov. 20) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Alano Club on Third Avenue.
The next theme luncheon at the Seniors Centre is planned Thursday (Nov. 28) at noon and tickets are now on sale at $9 for members and $10 for non-members. On the menu is roast beef, mashed potatoes, green beans, gravy and sticky toffee pudding.
