GAS is a shame

Editor, I went for a swim in beautiful Brohm Lake today, and was reflecting on the Garibaldi at Squamish (GAS) proposal. I believe it is a shame to even be considering it.

Editor,

I went for a swim in beautiful Brohm Lake today, and was reflecting on the Garibaldi at Squamish (GAS) proposal. I believe it is a shame to even be considering it.

Brohm Lake (not to mention all the other land that will be negatively impacted by GAS) is a precious piece of our community, and our world at large.

I recently moved to Squamish from Vancouver with the plan to escape the urban sprawl and be closer to nature, and all it has to offer (hiking, rock climbing, skiing, swimming, etc.).

With the proposed GAS I feel as though the urban encroachment is happening in my new backyard.

I am strongly opposed to GAS.
