Dear Mayor Gardner and Council,
My wife, Pauline, and I are taking this opportunity to express our support for the proposed Sea to Sky Gondola project.Our reason for this support is the belief that more highway trafficstopping and experiencing the gondola ride will be enticed to stay and become familiar with the rest of the Squamish-area attractions and this will result in more money being spent in our town.
After sitting through the public information meeting held by the proponents, I am further convinced that adding this sort of experience within our corridor will lead to spin-off employment in the "Outdoor Recreation Capitalof Canada" theme of our town.
I urge you and council to support this venture and work to expedite the process enabling them to open their doors without delays from District of Squamish staff and process.
