EDITOR,

On Sunday (June 26), on the way home to Langley from Whistler, my family and I stopped at Alice Lake for a picnic lunch. We were getting ready to leave and my husband had taken some of our things back to our vehicle. My three- and five-year-old and I decided to start walking to the Alice in Wonderland event that was just about to start, when my three-year-old daughter tripped and did a face plant onto the concrete. When I picked her up there was a fair bit of blood and I pretty much panicked. I would really like to thank Joe and his wife and two small children for stopping and giving us a hand. Joe helped to stop the bleeding, calmed my daughter and my son down and his wife directed us to the nearest clinic, where we had literally no wait, and the doctor glued my daughter's little cut together. I am sure that it was not the way that they had intended on starting their Sunday afternoon. But my family and I really appreciated the kindness of Joe and his family. Thank you!
