Editor,
Following submitted to www.bcliquorstores.com March 2, 2010:
With the recent re-location of your Squamish store to Garibaldi Highlands the level of customer service you are offering to both the Squamish and Garibaldi Highlands communities is drastically reduced. By far the majority of people in both communities do their grocery shopping in downtown Squamish.
The greatest increase in population density, downtown Squamish. The highest percentage of people who choose not to use vehicular transportation, right, that's downtown Squamish as well. If a vehicle is to be used for a person's shopping requirements, parking once to procure all supplies is the greenest choice.
So with your website full of platitudes about your commitment to community, and reducing your impact on the environment, I find this choice of new location rather abhorrent. It is also a very clear demonstration of the arrogance that your 'captive market' position in British Columbia lets you get away with.
