I heard robins singing last week and the pussy willows have bloomed, so I know spring is just around the corner!

For all you movie buffs out there, did you know that everyone is welcome every Friday night at Beyoutofull Theatre, located in the Adventure Centre? Jeff Thompson, the man behind this great weekly social movie scene, has given up the liquor licensing, which means that ID is no longer required at the door. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are available. You can purchase tickets online at beyoutofulltheatre.com or buy them at the door. Beyoutofull Theatre features a new movie each week. Check out his Facebook page or his ad in The Chief. Doors usually open at 7 p.m. and films start at 7:30. Be sure to check it out and support this local venture! If you have any questions, you can email [email protected]

I am excited to announce that Galileo Coffee's very own blend of beans are now available for purchase on the shelves at Nesters! Congratulations on this big step!

Squamish tourism will get a boost with the recent announcement of a new partnership between the Executive Suites Hotel and Resort and SquamishAdventure.com, offering a new, enhanced visitor experience and boosting the allure of Squamish as a vacation destination. Twenty-fourteen is anticipated as a big year for tourism in B.C., and to stand out from other desinations, Squamish is upping the ante on its appeal to the traveller's agenda by providing a resort-style getaway similar to that found in Whistler.

The two companies have joined forces as the Squamish community has begun rolling out an extensive rebranding process, all part of a wide initiative to attract more tourism dollars by developing what sets the town apart. As the rebranding process unfolds, it has become apparent that there is huge opportunity for local businesses to get involved and be the change they want to see for our economy. Jared Sissons, general manager of Executive Suites Hotel, recognizes the need to create outstanding experiences that are easy to access, with superb service. By partnering with Paula DeJong of SquamishAdventure.com, an all-inclusive-style stay with exciting, customized options can be offered easily to their hotel guests.

The concept of partnering large organizations with sophisticated and well-aligned start-ups to intensify value and achieve greater joint marketing means a win for everyone.

SquamishAdventure.com's main core business is collaboration and staying true to the goal of helping local tour operators with their market presence.

Through the bigger vision of the Executive Suites Hotel, visitors will have easy access to all that Squamish offers, while small businesses benefit by enjoying more visitor traffic and spending in our community.

During the height of this summer season, SquamishAdventure.com will operate its concierge service from the Executive Suites and together they have committed to help put Squamish on the map as a major tourist spot.

Good luck to both businesses on this great new partnership!
