I am writing to you to express my frustration in regards to the lack of attention by Miller Capilano in the Squamish area. The northbound portion of the intersection at Clarke Drive and Highway 99 has been under constant disrepair as the new "quiet" pavement has not been able to withstand the amount of traffic turning out of that intersection. Currently there are large potholes in the northbound lanes. (While I'm at it, the intersection of Cleveland Avenue to the southbound lane of Highway 99 is a disaster as well). I have personally called Miller Capilano on numerous occasions to have Highway 99 at Clarke repaired. While they have attempted patchwork over the winter, those patches did not last and the potholes remain. My most recent conversations have been met with excuses such as, "waiting for dry weather" (we have now had plenty), "waiting for the asphalt plant to start up," and the most recent, "what is the problem there?" And, "there's lots of places that need fixing." So while it seems the folks at Miller Capilano are doing a great job at maintaining the landscaping in Lions Bay and Ansell Place, it would be great if they could do the same work for our roads in Squamish.
