It was interesting reading the experiences of Sasha Ainsley and Joan Fawcett while in the Katimavik program in last week's Chief. In the late 1970s and early '80s, participants came for an extended stay in our community. For three weeks during their stay they worked in various businesses and were also billeted in homes. Three of the young women had their work experiences at the Squamish Times and they came to stay with George and I. After all these years, I still correspond with Teresa Huttlet who lives in Oak Bank, Man.
