On behalf of the Squamish Farmers’ Market, I would like to thank Kelly Ann for her awesome article on our market. The market is full of hard-working people – staff, vendors and volunteers – who all work toward the same goal: to promote fresh local food and introduce talented artisans to the customers of the market. There is a great deal of time and effort on everyone’s part to make this market happen each Saturday, and it’s nice that this hard work is rewarded with such a complimentary article.
We encourage all of Squamish to come out and enjoy our market each week. You can buy your veggies fresh from the farm and meet the farmer at the same time, buy your eggs and meet the livestock keeper that gets up very early in the morning to collect those eggs, the baker that makes your favourite Saturday treat, look at some great art and enjoy foot-tapping local musicians. Squamish is a great place and the market is an integral part of the atmosphere here.
