I was reading the letter to the editor from Bruce Kay, “LNG is a subversion of our climate leadership” (March 30).

One fly in the pabulum that we have been fed: If the liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports are to replace some of the coal used in China, then does it not seem strange that the government has pushed through an increase in shipping capacity of the coal port at Roberts Bank?

It just doesn’t add up.
