Re: “Council supports rainbow crosswalks,” Jan. 21. It is nice that we in Squamish are such an accommodating community, with the District of Squamish council so quickly approving this new direction through crosswalk advertising.
It signals that council will be interested to sell all crosswalks for any body interested to advertise their association or beliefs. This is maybe to raise some money to pay for district services and reduce taxes? What a wonderful idea. This new business venture is totally approved by “The Out of the Box Thinkers’ Association of Squamish.”
