LETTER: Know your library?

We want to take an opportunity to say thanks to our engaged community for your participation in the Squamish Public Library’s 2017 Community Input Survey.

We want to take an opportunity to say thanks to our engaged community for your participation in the Squamish Public Library’s 2017 Community Input Survey. With nearly 600 submissions, we look forward to compiling and reporting out on what you’ve told us: what you value in our library and what you think the library should add to its current array of programs and services. As we launch into a new strategic planning process in 2018, this valuable community input will help to shape our library’s future. Stay tuned for opportunities to engage further in the new year. We hope to address community demand for increased open hours and additional work/study spaces in our 2018 budget.

Did you know that your library is here for you over the holidays? With the exception of Dec. 24-26 and Jan.1, we are open seven days a week. Sign up for a library card and gain free access to thousands of books, eBooks, magazines, DVDs, online training (through lynda.comhttp://lynda.com/) and more  — including our loanable passes to the Britannia Mine Museum and the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre. Cozy up by our fireplace, make use of our wifi and public access computers, or bring your kids to spend time in our brightly renovated children’s area. Your library has something for everyone, staffed by a fantastic library team who are here to help.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday season!
