Mayor and council, I would like to understand how the new organic garbage collection could be exciting to the gardeners of Squamish who have already bought expensive composters and use the compost on their own gardens. (Re: “Garbage fees increase to create organics collection program,” Feb. 12.)
And invasive species – i.e. birdweed and blackberry brambles – are not allowed in these new containers.
How can this new annual expense be exciting?
