With the Brackendale Art Gallery up for sale – understandably so, as Thor Froslev has more than reached the age of retirement – I would hate to see the site of this iconic institution “developed.” The BAG has been the heart and soul of Brackendale for as long as I’ve lived here – 17 years. The BAG has been open to local groups for meetings, celebrations, concerts as well as hosting visiting performers and artists. To lose it would diminish Brackendale as we know it and the community at large. In my eyes it’s a heritage institution and should be preserved for the community. How this can be accomplished, I don’t know, but I hope creative minds will come up with solutions to do so.
