Whoever came up with the idea to change the venue location for the Remembrance Day service obviously did not think things through properly.
To locate it outside in a park is all very well and fine in the summer months, but in the winter I do not think so.
How are the seniors and handicapped people supposed to get there, especially with very limited parking? How can they manage to walk across the soggy, wet grass, let alone walk from a long way away to even get to the park?
There are very few vets now and we should be looking after them and the seniors and handicapped, not making it so they cannot attend this important ceremony. They are survivors of World War 2 and other wars. They are “Our History.”
Who is going to stand out in the rain? It certainly won’t be a vet or senior! Please think about this decision and think of the others who will not be able to make this ceremony.
