The volunteer driver program for cancer patients is a wonderful, crucial program (Re: “A Friend on the Road,” July 23).
Finding rides into the city for medical appointments is a huge challenge for many people in this corridor – and not just for people with cancers. While more work needs to be done to make rides more accessible to everyone, it’s worth noting that seniors needing rides to medical appointments are able to get support from Better at Home, a program run by Sea to Sky Community Services (604-892-5796).
