It must be at least seven years now since the new highway was built. I would like to know how the movers and shakers in this community get to and from work. Do you not experience the traffic tie-ups that the traffic lights cause? Why is it that only four or five cars can get through the light at Cleveland and the highway? It’s been this way for years. Traffic gets backed up to the train tracks or worse.
Why do we have to wait forever at 6 a.m. at Mamquam to turn onto the highway? Highway 99 bisects our town and every resident has to cross or use it every single day. Come on, Squamish! I can’t be the only one that finds this appalling.
Our town has grown tremendously in the past few years, and continues to attract more residents and tourists. Fix this and there will be fewer traffic issues and frustrated residents.
