LETTER: Ed Siatecki - My Dad

Editor's note: In the editorial on Jan. 17 titled, “Notice the helpers, Squamish,” The Chief asked for people to send in their memories of local helpers. The following is one of the replies we received.

I often so wonder what it would have been like had dad chose another town to move his family to instead of Squamish in 1970. In 1975 he had a horrific accident, which leaves him a quadriplegic for 28 years. The love and support from our community may not have made his “Life well spent,” but they sure tried and that created memories and I got to have my life well spent with my dad, he got to see my brother and I graduate high school, get Married (he  rolled down the aisle with me) and watch his grandchild grow up. All those helping hands.

Thank you Squamish, my home.
