In Squamish, personally I think we definitely need a Dairy Queen, because Squamish does not have enough restaurants for in the summer. Also, it does suck that we have to drive all the way to Vancouver to get a Dairy Queen treat.

There are very few places that do have ice cream or other cold deserts such as gas stations, corner stores and other businesses do have cold treats. But, it’s not the same kind as Dairy Queen.

But, to me — that’s not enough businesses. I think if we had a Dairy Queen it would probably bring more people to Squamish, in a way.

It would also save people from driving to the city for a total of around a 45 minute drive there and back.

According to previous articles in The Squamish Chief newspaper, lots of people want a Dairy Queen So, if someone does make a Dairy Queen in Squamish, it would be successful. Because lots of people will come there quite a lot, which will make the business more successful.
