Hello, we are a group of students trying to bring awareness about child labour.

Some people know us as school kids, but some kids don’t have the option to go to school. In some cases from the age of five to 17 kids are snatched by child labour groups and put to work against their will. Sometimes families don’t have enough money, so they sell their children to businesses that use child labour and they are put to work.

Did you know that some of your favourite companies use child labour? Did you know that some of your favourite chocolate is made by child labour?

Easter is fast approaching and it would be better to buy from companies that don’t use child labour.

Here’s how you tell which companies don’t use Child Labour. Look for the symbol at the top of this page.

If you read this letter, you will know about the horrors of child labour as we do. We hope you acknowledge the use of Fairtrade.
