Totally agree with the editorial saying that Squamish shouldn’t ban straws. [“Banning straws is a bad idea, Squamish”] A seemingly bigger problem both in the water and on land, are those six-pack plastic rings that are used to hold cans together. I have seen pics of animals that have had these rings around their necks and they have not been able to get out of them. These plastic rings are used by the brewing companies as well as the soft drink companies. These rings don’t break down and are very dangerous for our wildlife. Why do we need these?
