As one starts to check into the whole thing about LNG and CNG transport in its raw form, high pressure and without scent, it is already dangerous enough. Now, with the new 20-inch pipeline planed for export, criss-crossing through the populated area of Squamish, the new 20-inch CNG pipeline first and then, shut down the old one and encase them with a safety pipe that would surround the actual pipes, bleeding off at designated areas and with it, prove that upon sudden pressure change in the supply lines, the automated shutoff valves would stop the continuous flow, but the gas in the safety pipe would be vented orin a controlled burn, or whatever, released.
The immediate concern is the availability of CNG for cars, now referred to as NGV - the same stuff, just another confusing designation. In either case, Fortis B.C. has a facility in the industrial park, where they have now on an existing high-pressure 12-inch CNG pipe, easily make available on a dispensing pump station, for the gas for transportation use and with it, besides the residents and general businesses in addition to Carney's, the ighway department, school buses, even logging trucks and transport companies, the district vehicles, and many more - if one starts thinking, it could reduce their fuel consumption by switching, or adding CNG first and possibly later LNG to reduce cost.

I believe it is time to ask foran LNG moratorium to resolve some of the issues and get it right this time, not like the kerfuffle created by the government with HST... that could have been avoided, had the government not tried to bypass the people and the same thing appears to be happening again. With the fast tracking of LNG, that could be a good thing if properly designed and explained and democratically decided upon!
