EDITOR,
In regards to this week's online question, "Would you shop downtown if more stores were open in the evening?" most people would go anywhere if the local transit was anything less than a disaster. The proposed new funding for expanded service -Sundays and Saturdays late evening, etc. -should have been in effect for the summer, service directly to the local doctor's offices mandatory, 8 p.m. delivery to the hospital an absolute necessity and so much more. Council cares as much for the locals as Christy Clark puts "Family First." Another summer missed.
