We, the executive of the Squamish Youth Soccer Association, are writing to express our continued support for the Multi-Sport Facility proposed by the Squamish Soccer Association. We each live a good portion of our lives at Centennial Fields and are painfully aware of the need for improved playing surfaces. Collectively, we volunteer an immeasurable number of hours to ensure the children of our community can participate in what can best be described as "The Beautiful Game." As any volunteer can attest, the job doesn't come without some frustration and ours is the field situation. The cost of renting Quest, games lost due to unplayable grass, injury risked due to the incredibly hard and rough playing surface of the gravel fields are just some of the ongoing issues. Something needs to be done and done soon.

Our children have a beautiful setting in which to play the game, they have coaches and volunteers, they are developing their passion and skill and now they need fields that will serve them well. As our council, you have the opportunity to make this proposal a reality; you have the ability to leave our community a lasting legacy of which you can be very proud. Please support the development of the Multi-Sport Facility this year. Please make it happen.
