The Sea to Sky Gondola has launched it's new website. Go to www.seatoskygondola.com to discover all there is to offer. The website is optimized across all platforms including mobile, tablet and desktop. They have partnered with a number of local businesses and residents to bring this website to life. The site was designed and built by VentureWeb, a digital marketing agency based in Squamish. Brand new imagery throughout the site reflects the amazing 360-degree views and the adventures accessed by the gondola. You may also see lots of familiar faces because Sea to Sky residents are featured in all of the photography on the website. The photos were shot by local photographer Paul Bride, with some supporting images by Chris Barton. The new website is the source for all of their news, updates and information. Check it often. I am amazed and can hardly wait!

Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life Sea to Sky event raised more than $24,000 and had over 75 participants this year at Don Ross Secondary School. The event is in desperate need of a committee of volunteers to lead the way or it may not happen in 2014! They are asking us to help find some strong community leaders who would be willing to take this important project on.

The programs and research that the Relay For Life supports and funds benefit us all. People in Squamish have and continue to use our support services such as our driver program, cancer connections and Camp Good Times, just to name a few. The discoveries made by the grants given to researchers benefit us all in the fight again cancer. Without signature fundraising events like the relay, these discoveries may not happen.

Squamish has been a longtime community supporter of the Relay for Life. It would be very sad to think that the event may not return.

If you know of anyone who might be interested in working on the committee for the event which will happen inJune 2014,please contact Brooke Sherwood at (604) 215-5205. If a committee is not formed by Nov. 30 the event will be cancelled.
