EDITOR,
Having once again been shouted at while walking on the Nexen Beach trail, we would like to remind everyone with a dog that this is not an off-leash area.
The bylaw reads, "Dogs must be on leash and under the control and care of a competent person at all times when on public property."
Our group is not afraid of dogs, but are afraid of being knocked down by unleashed dogs running ahead of their owners.
It seems only fair to control your dog when meeting others on the trail. Let it run loose when safe to do so.
