EDITOR,

Why don't people pick up after their dogs on trails or sidewalks etc.? I see this every day. Where are the bylaws of this city? I walk every day and say, "Here pick up your doggy doo! Please!" They look at me as their dog is running loose - no collar, no leash and doing their thing. People just don't care. They just keep walking, not paying any attention to their animal. I'll keep approaching you and say, "Please pick up after your dog!" You will see me and if I have to, I will turn this into a fulltime job, handing out my word if I see you. So please pick up after your dog. You are not wasting my time. I'm retired and I will waste your time approaching you and hand you a bag. There are dog bag holders in parks and in public areas - no excuse not to pick up after your dog. It does not matter how big or how small your animal is - clean up after them. This city is a nice city, so don't abuse it; walk clean and keep green.
