Re: "Building a quiet oasis," (Chief, Aug. 26) by Rebecca Aldous.
A quiet oasis of prayerful nuns is needed and most welcome.
It is no accident that they are here in our midst.
I would ask them to pray for our community: the youth and the aged;
the floundering business owners trying to survive;
the working poor;
the homeless;
the lonely and the unemployed. Knowing that they will all be praying for us daily will encourage and give strength to continue.
There are no coincidences and I have faith that there will be brighter days ahead with the help and prayers of this little light from the Queen of Peace Monastery in the Upper Squamish Valley.Marie WilsonGaribaldi Highlands
