EDITOR,I was disappointed to read the negative coverage of the National Climbing Centre and Scott Crescent proposal ("Attendees oppose Scott Crescent plan," Chief online, April 4).
I attended the public information meeting last Thursday, and contrary to the commentary provided in your story, I found the proposed road access, economic development and recreational prospects of this gateway project extremely reasonable.
I am a third-generation Squamish resident and understand that Clarke Drive has always been a public thoroughfare and I see no reason why it should not be used to permit a very healthy development on this currently isolated property. Allan Barr
