EDITOR,
This letter is in response to the dart addressed to the dog owner that was mistreating his/her animal. I'm a little perplexed as to why you didn't approach the person on the spot and call them on their behaviour? To go as far as to follow the person home and continue witnessing the mistreatment, but not say anything? I believe it is our duty to call out animal abuse, absolutely. It is akward and uncomfortable but the abuser is in the wrong. They should feel bad, not you. I hope you report the person because guaranteed it isn't the first or last time this poor dog will be abused. There is no way I could have watched that happen without saying anything.
Please report this person.
