Schools plan

Editor, I believe it is fairest to host French immersion or at least part of it at Squamish Elementary.

Editor,

I believe it is fairest to host French immersion or at least part of it at Squamish Elementary.

I think this as Squamish is the fairest school to host the program at because it is most school bus accessible elementary school, yet Mamquam is definitely not. Buses already go from every area in Squamish other than Valleycliffe to nearby Howe Sound.

Furthermore, it is necessary to ensure that Squamish Elementary can host all. I think for example sending the small amount of Britannia students to Steams would work well.

Also all secondary school French immersion should be at Howe Sound regardless as Don Ross is extremely inaccessible, and students in the Highlands and Brackendale should all go to Don Ross, unless they are in French immersion.

As far as Stawamus goes, do they really need their own principal?

Could they not share one with any other school, like small schools in West Vancouver do?

All in all if their enrolment further declines the school should clearly be closed down, it's not fair to the taxpayer to piddle money away on operating a basically vacant building.

For students in the heights along with their whiney parents, Squamish.
