Shame, shame

I would like to start out by saying shame, shame, shame on the career protesters that are trying to kill the proposed ski resort up behind Squamish.

I would like to start out by saying shame, shame, shame on the career protesters that are trying to kill the proposed ski resort up behind Squamish. Have these same people stopped and thought for even a minute in the last few short ears we have lost all our big tax-paying businesses? Just to name a few: Woodfibre, Interfor Sawmill, B.C. Rail, The Royal Hudson. I have lived here for 25 years, brought my family up with three children, two of them have moved away to find work and the third one is thinking of moving too. The Forest Industry is basically done in Squamish. You just have to look at the line of cars leaving Squamish in the morning to go into Vancouver to try and find work. I think the community as a whole are probably tired of taking crumbs from Whistler and would like to see our own children and families be able to have a chance of finding work closer to home. Change is something some people have issues with but if Squamish is going to be competitive with the rest of the world then the town should move ahead with projects and not kill it with red tape.
